| I'm very happy to see good reviews for this new CD, because it is not an "easy" recording to get next to immediately. |

I have NEVER loved Rufus' albums on the first listen. In fact, way back when I got the first album, I listened once and then didn't listen again for a very long time (a year or so). I can't even remember what made me give it another chance, but I did and thought it was worth popping into my CD walkman. After a couple of subway trips, I became obsessed.
With most other music I like, I'll be drawn to it right away but become bored of it quickly. With Rufus, I'm always sort of "meh..." about it at first but then grow to adore it. Once hooked, I never get tired of it.
I'm hooked on Release the Stars now after a couple of days on my mp3 player. As an entire album, it's my favorite of his. The individual songs, though, would not rank the highest on my list of favorite Rufus tunes - except for Slideshow... man I love that song. |

I've never seen it before, Jason. It looks like its the audio versions of the Orange Lounge videos. And yeah, I agree, it looks like it's only an E-ep. I like the artwork, though.
I believe there's an E-ep on Napster from the Want One era as well.

Me too, can't wait. Unfortunately I realized I have a doctor's appointment that day, but it will be nice to have Rufus beckoning at the end of it.
Knowing me, I shall probably buy the CD in midday then set it aside and stretch out the anticipation until later that evening after Stella has gone to bed. Maybe I should purchase some bubbly for the occasion, not that I need an excuse.
